BMW X5 sDrive35i

The unglamorous half of a track program: what it takes to make an X5 tow a race car reliably, and the ramp geometry nobody warns you about.

Coming soon

This chassis site is a placeholder. The F15 X5 isn't a track car — it's the tow vehicle, which makes it a different and much less documented problem: hitch and wiring setup, trailer choice, tongue weight, and the loading geometry that decides whether a lowered car can actually get up the ramp.

That last one is the piece with real math behind it already, and it lives on the E86 chassis page for now — approach angles, ramp angles, and why lowering a car quietly invalidates the lumber you've been putting under the ramp foot.
